A Glimpse of the Job
The Transit Trainer is responsible for training budgeted and student transit drivers during Phases I, II, and III of training, being knowledgeable of the daily operation of the campus transit system, and assisting with coordinating drivers, trainees, and buses as well as assisting customers regarding the transit system.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Training - In the field: Assists with all aspects of training budgeted and student drivers including Phases I, II, and III of training to include proper and safe vehicle operation, route operations, service delivery according to published schedule and prepares drivers for the DPS skills and driving test for the required license.
