Job Description
The Role
The Additive Industrialization Center (AIC) is responsible for advancing additive manufacturing technologies and scaling their application across General Motors. As a Manufacturing Process Engineer – Additive Manufacturing, you will own the performance, continuous improvement, and industrialization of polymer and metal additive manufacturing processes and equipment.
This is a highly hands-on engineering role focused on optimizing equipment performance, improving process capability, reducing waste, and enabling future manufacturing technologies. You will work closely with product engineering, design, quality, operations, suppliers, and technology partners to support current production needs while helping shape GM's additive manufacturing strategy.
This Role Is Ideal For Engineers with experience in additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, process engineering, or materials engineering who enjoy working directly with equipment, solving complex production challenges, and helping bring emerging manufacturing technologies into production environments. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy balancing hands-on manufacturing execution with long-term technology development and process improvement.
