FormativGroup is adding a Senior Solution Engineer to the growing team!
The Senior Solution Engineer is a senior individual contributor who partners with Account Executives, Industry SMEs, Alliance teams, and Delivery leaders to shape winning Salesforce transformation opportunities. This role bridges business process and technology by understanding how clients operate today, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing practical Salesforce solutions that create measurable business value.
The ideal candidate combines strong consultative skills with deep Salesforce expertise and exercises sound judgment to balance business outcomes, user experience, implementation complexity, and long-term maintainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle to qualify opportunities, shape technical strategy, and support pursuit execution.
- Lead discovery sessions to understand current-state business processes, user needs, operational challenges, and desired business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Industry SMEs to translate strategic business objectives into practical Salesforce solution approaches.
- Analyze business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend solution alternatives while clearly articulating business and technical tradeoffs.
- Design scalable solution approaches leveraging Salesforce, Agentforce, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and modern integration patterns.
- Develop compelling demonstrations, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and executive presentations tailored to client-specific business scenarios.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop technical win strategies and differentiate Formativ throughout the sales cycle.
- Lead the technical portions of proposals, RFPs, RFIs, Statements of Work, and client presentations.
- Work closely with Delivery leaders and Solution Architects to ensure proposed solutions are practical, implementable, and aligned with delivery best practices.
- Contribute to reusable demonstrations, reference architectures, solution assets, and presales collateral.
- Capture insights from customer engagements to help improve offerings, sales plays, and solution assets.
- Maintain current Salesforce certifications and continuously expand expertise in Salesforce AI capabilities and emerging platform technologies.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in Solution Engineering, enterprise consulting, solution architecture, or a comparable customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated success supporting enterprise Salesforce transformation initiatives and complex consulting pursuits.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, Agentforce, and integration patterns.
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate requirements into practical solution designs.
- Outstanding facilitation, presentation, communication, and executive engagement skills.
- Strong collaboration skills with Sales, Industry SMEs, Alliances, Delivery, and Executive Leadership.
- Salesforce certifications required or strongly preferred; AI and Data Cloud certifications are a plus.

Compensation
The Salesforce Solutions Engineer will receive a competitive compensation package commensurate with experience, including base salary, variable incentive compensation, and benefits.
Location and Work Authorization
This is a remote role with potential periodic client travel. Candidates located in the Northeast United States are preferred.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency. The compensation range for this position represents our good faith estimate of the range we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses, commissions, or other incentive programs, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, etc.
Estimated Compensation Range: $155,000 — $175,000 USD
