Community Revitalization Specialist at Fresno Regional Workforce Development Board | LAYIQ

Requirements

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline in order to qualify for the examination and does not assure a place on the eligibility list.
Completion of sixty (60) college units from an accredited college or university.
AND
Two (2) years of experience interpreting and applying Federal, State, or local codes and regulations closely related to public nuisance, zoning, substandard housing violations and/or building inspections/permits and/or housing/commercial compliance standards, which includes one (1) year of experience working with a public agency.
Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis, with thirty (30) semester units equaling one (1) year of experience.
A copy of degree or college transcripts must be uploaded and included in your on-line application for verification. Applicants lacking the documentation may be rejected if relying upon education to meet the Minimum Requirements.
Possession of a valid California Driver's License is required during the entire term of employment as a Community Revitalization Specialist. Candidates considered for hire must provide proof of a valid driver's license and current copy of their driving record.
Possession of a California Association of Code Enforcement Officer (CACEO) certificate is desirable.
The selected eligible candidates certified will be required to successfully pass a Department interview and a Department of Justice fingerprint prior to employment with the City of Fresno.
THE EXAMINATION PROCESS The examination process may consist of the following: Online Examination: 100%: A job-related written examination may be administered which may test a candidate's interpersonal relations and customer service skills, computer software usage, record keeping, English usage and grammar, reading comprehension, math, safety, and report writing. The online examination has been tentatively scheduled for the week of: October 19, 2026.
