EHS Manager

Environmental Health & Safety Manager | Nox Metals | Ferndale, MI

Hours

: Monday - Friday, w/ability to work weekends as needed.

You will:

• Design and implement the EHS program from the ground up, with support from People Operations as needed
• Train shift leads so the basics run without you, and lead new-hire and refresher training
• Run hazard assessments and incident investigations to closure
• Own OSHA/MIOSHA recordkeeping and permits, and keep the site audit-ready
• Manage PPE, machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and forklift and crane safety
• Work with ops and software on engineering controls when safety issues trace back to process or equipment
• You are: Educated, with a bachelor's degree in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Health and Human Services, or a related field
• Experienced, with 7+ years in EHS in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• A builder, you have designed and implemented EHS programs, not just maintained them
• Comfortable on the floor, you can talk to an operator and write it up in a way that holds up later
• Firm, you hold the line with a shift lead who wants to skip a step
• Nice to have: Metals or CNC manufacturing background
• Experience with ITAR-controlled material
• OSHA 30, CSP or equivalent certification
• Comfortable using AI tools to work faster and smarter
• This role is full time, in person at our Ferndale location.
