Social Worker - Children & Families

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Children’s

Social Worker to join its client’s

Children & Families team, based in Northumberland.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority, helping to safeguard and improve outcomes for children, young people, and their families.

You'll manage a varied caseload, undertake assessments and interventions, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

Start Date: Immediate

What will your responsibilities be?

Deliver a statutory social work service to children, young people, and their families in line with legislation and local authority procedures.

Complete Child in Need, Child Protection, and Family Support assessments.

Develop, implement, and review effective care and support plans.

Build strong working relationships with children, families, carers, and partner agencies.

Ensure the child's voice remains central to all assessments and decision-making.

Maintain accurate and timely case recordings, reports, and assessments.

Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, conferences, and court proceedings where required.

Participate in regular supervision and reflective practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

• To be successful in this role you must have; Social Work England registration
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work
• Post-qualified experience within Children's Services
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Eligibility to work in the UK
