SUMMARY
At Magnolia, the Recruiting Specialist is responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting for an assigned portfolio of roles, from initial sourcing through offer acceptance, ensuring a consistent, values-driven candidate experience at every stage. This position partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and works cross-functionally with the broader People Team to support Magnolia's talent strategy.
This position works from Magnolia Headquarters in Waco, Texas, reports to the Recruiting Manager, and has no supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Confer with managers and People Team leadership to identify personnel needs
Partner with hiring managers to build role profiles, define candidate criteria, and set realistic hiring timelines
Ensure compliance with employment laws, Magnolia's hiring policies, and is within budget allocation throughout the recruiting process
Review applications and conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, culture fit, and compensation expectations
Maintain and update applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and status changes (

Create job postings and utilize online resources to market to potential candidates
Assist in maintaining accurate documentation of internal hiring and transfer processes*
Extend verbal and written offers, and negotiate terms in partnership with the Recruiting Manager as needed
Represent Magnolia at job fairs and hiring events
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of hiring events for frontline business units ensuring alignment with recruitment goals and workforce needs
Arrange on site visit schedule and host candidates
Perform reference and background checks on applicants and organize the pre-arrival onboarding process*
Extend verbal and written offers

Serve as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, ensuring timely and professional communication

ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university preferred
2-4 years of related work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
