Registered Nurse, House Float- PRN, Days

Status: PRN

Shift: First

Job Summary:

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (pediatric to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care.

Responsibilities:

• Assesses patient clinical status.
• Develops a plan of care.
• Implementation of the nursing plan of care.
• Evaluation of the effectiveness of the care plan.
• Communication and validation of patient care information.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing required.
• Active Kentucky RN License.
• Two years critical care experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required (for employees assigned to work within the George & Beverly Rawling’s Women’s Center).
