The VP of Consumer Insights & Analytics is a key contributor to enterprise decision-making through deep understanding of consumers, shoppers, markets, and business performance. This role is being created to further the enterprise’s evolution toward a consumer-first mindset.
The role brings an external, objective perspective that shapes where the company chooses to play, how it wins, and where it invests. You are not just a reporter of data; you are a predictive strategist who helps the SVP Enterprise Strategy & CEO see around corners. The mandate extends beyond leading research to influencing how Honest operates by integrating consumer understanding, marketplace dynamics, and commercial performance across the enterprise.
Oversee Brand Marketing and Equity Research: partner with SVP of Marketing and head of Operating Units to conduct research and understand the performance of marketing and brand executions

Core Responsibilities

Serve as the Voice of the Consumer & Marketplace: Represent external reality in executive decision-making by bringing a deep understanding of consumer behavior, shopper needs, competitive dynamics, and cultural change, while challenging internal assumptions.
Anticipate Future Demand: Lead the organization’s evolution from reactive tracking to predictive forecasting. Use advanced analytics, AI, and behavioral data to identify emerging consumer behaviors, market shifts, and competitive disruption before they impact the business.
Provide New Category Entry and Innovation Support: Deliver consumer-demand validation and market sizing to evaluate potential category entries, strategic partnerships, and internal growth projects.

Build Enduring Competitive Advantage: Develop proprietary consumer and market intelligence (demand spaces, behavioral frameworks, segmentation, growth models) built to function as lasting enterprise decision systems.
Monitor Brand Health: Track Honest's brand equity, trust, and consumer perception over time (awareness, loyalty, sentiment, and NPS), flagging shifts early so the executive team can respond before they show up in sales.
Foster an Organizational Consumer-Centric Mindset: Embed consumer-centered thinking across Marketing, Sales, Product, R&D, Finance, Strategy, and executive leadership, turning consumer understanding into a company-wide competitive capability.
Lead and Develop Talent: Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of curiosity and commercial acumen.
