Senior Acumatica Construction Consultant

They're looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to lead workstreams on Acumatica Construction implementations, mentor less experienced team members, and serve as a trusted advisor to their clients. This is a role for someone who takes ownership, communicates with confidence at every level of an organization, and is energized by delivering implementations that genuinely transform how clients operate.

This is a fully remote role open to candidates located in the US or Canada, with up to 30% travel to client and prospect sites.

What You'll Do: Lead requirements gathering and design activities on Acumatica Construction implementations, including configuration, testing, data conversion, training, and go-live support.

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients — building strong relationships, negotiating resolutions to business and process issues, and ensuring long-term satisfaction.

Independently manage assigned tasks and workstreams, collaborating with the Project Manager to align activities with SOW, Business Process Review (BPR) documentation, and the company's implementation methodology.

Provide detailed consulting estimates and implementation project plans.

Proactively communicate project status, issues, and concerns to the Director, Project Manager, and/or Architect/Lead.

Monitor project budgets and deliver engagements on time and within scope.

Provide coaching and quality assurance to ensure team members follow established implementation methodology and best practices.

Facilitate group discussions with team members and clients; tailor communication style for multiple levels of an organization.

Develop accurate written materials and contribute to NexTec's standard of excellence in documentation.

Provide leadership in the change management process, demonstrating a solid understanding of change management concepts.

Maintain 75% utilization on an average annual basis.

Maintain Acumatica certifications and continue developing expertise across modules and soft consulting skills.

What They're Looking For: Required

• 3+ years of Acumatica implementation and support experience, with a primary focus on Construction.
• Four-year degree in Business, Accounting, MIS, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead full-cycle implementations and manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience working directly with client teams and executive-level stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills — able to engage credibly across all levels of a client organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking full ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables.
• Flexibility with task assignment, priorities, and a fast-moving work environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within the US and Canada.
• Nice to Have
• Acumatica certifications across Construction or related modules.
• Additional Acumatica experience in Field Services.
• Experience at a consulting firm or ERP reseller.
• Background as a controller or senior accountant — business acumen from the client side translates well in this role.
