Cloud Security Architect/Engineer

Location:

Remote; travel may be required in support of meetings, training, presentations, or briefings with project stakeholders

Required Clearance:

Ability to obtain and maintain the required VA background investigation/suitability determination

Certifications:

Certification in one or more of the following: IAT III, IAM III or IASAE III certifications. IAT III/ IAM III / IASAE III certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of relevant experience

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or related fields.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of Information Security Experience of which at least 5 years are of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience at a large Government agency similar in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.

PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Architect/Engineer to  join our dynamic team supporting a large Federal Government client. Provide cloud security architecture and engineering expertise for the design, assessment, and implementation of secure enterprise cloud solutions. The Cloud Security Architect/Engineer will help ensure cloud modernization efforts align with Federal security, authorization, and enterprise architecture requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and assess secure cloud architectures and solutions.
• Translate FedRAMP, RMF, and cybersecurity requirements into system and application designs.
• Conduct architecture reviews to identify threats, attack paths, control gaps, and residual risks.
• Support Federal A&A and ATO activities and associated security artifacts.
• Develop security controls, reference architectures, patterns, and recommended mitigations.
• Evaluate cloud solutions against applicable Federal and industry security requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, developers, and Government stakeholders throughout implementation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain required VA background investigation/suitability and system access.
• Expertise in Federal cloud security architecture and engineering.
• Experience with FedRAMP/RMF and Federal A&A/ATO activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• VA or large Federal enterprise experience.
• Hybrid/multi-cloud security experience.
• Zero Trust or cloud security automation experience.
