Position Overview
We are hiring a Railcar Repair & Welding Technician to support railroad equipment maintenance and emergency repair operations. This hands-on position involves repairing, fabricating, and welding freight railcars while following railroad safety and quality requirements.
Because this is a 24/7 emergency response operation
, employees must be available for call-outs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
What You'll Do: Repair and maintain freight railcars using welding and fabrication techniques.
Perform railcar fabrication and structural repairs according to safety and quality requirements.
Check vehicles, tools, materials, and equipment before and after assignments.
Attend job briefings and follow established railroad safety procedures.
