Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder – Cocoa, FL

$24/hour — higher depending on experience

2nd Shift Differential:

+$3/hour

Position Summary

Hiring experienced Structural Steel Fabricators/Welders to build and assemble steel components in a fabrication shop. This position combines blueprint reading, steel fitting, measuring, cutting, alignment, and welding.

Responsibilities: Read and interpret

blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
Measure, mark, cut, fit, align, and assemble structural steel components.
Perform structural steel welding according to project requirements and applicable standards.
Set up and operate fabrication machinery, equipment, and hand tools.
Use oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, angle presses, jigs, tape measures, and squares.
Set up and operate a track torch when required.
Check dimensions, fit-up, alignment, and finished assemblies for accuracy and quality.
Maintain an organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures.
Work with supervisors and fabrication team members to meet production schedules.
Required Qualifications: Previous experience in structural steel welding, fitting, or fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience measuring, fitting, aligning, and assembling structural steel.
Knowledge of welding processes, fabrication equipment, and shop tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate dimensions.
Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
Ability to work effectively in a production-oriented fabrication environment.
