Position Summary

Hiring experienced structural steel fabricators for a contract-to-hire opportunity. Depending on experience, work may focus on steel fitting or combine fitting with Flux Core welding

. Candidates will use drawings and measurements to lay out, position, fit, and assemble structural steel components.

Responsibilities: Interpret

blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications.
Measure, mark, and lay out structural steel for fabrication.
Position and align steel members for accurate fit-up.
Fit and assemble components prior to welding.
Perform
Flux Core welding for Welder/Fitter assignments.
Set up and operate a track torch.
Properly use and maintain welding and fabrication equipment and tools.
Inspect measurements, alignment, fit-up, and finished work for accuracy.
Coordinate with supervisors and coworkers to meet production schedules.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
Follow required safety and workplace procedures.
Requirements: 3+ years of structural steel fabrication experience.
Previous experience as a Structural Steel Fitter, Welder/Fitter, Structural Welder
, or similar role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with structural steel layout, fitting, and assembly.
