The role:

SoFi is seeking an energetic, organized, and resourceful Direct Mail Marketing Manager for a one-year contract to manage the end-to-end direct mail creative process for the SoFi Credit Card product, from strategy and planning through creative development, stakeholder review, approval, production, and tracking. This role will also analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize future direct mail strategies and creative.

What you’ll do:

• This role owns four core areas of responsibility: 1. Creative Strategy & Planning
• Lead end-to-end creative strategy and execution for Credit Card direct mail campaigns, partnering with Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to align initiatives with business goals, priorities, and growth objectives.
• Lead quarterly creative planning with the creative agency, using audience insights, customer behavior, performance data, and test-and-learn principles to develop strategic recommendations for the Product Marketing Manager.
• Lead upfront data and audience planning with DM Data Strategy, Marketing Data Science and agency team defining targeting, segmentation, personalization, measurement requirements, and data inputs that inform the creative strategy, testing plan, and campaign brief.
• Own the creative roadmap and partner with the creative agency to develop compelling messaging, visual storytelling, offers, personalization, branding, and calls to action.
• 2. Campaign & Production Management
• Serve as the day-to-day campaign lead and primary liaison among Product Marketing Manager, the creative and data strategy agency, DM Data Strategy, Marketing Data Science, other internal stakeholders, and print vendors.
• Serve as the lead DM representative in Credit Card business unit meetings, Marketing Data Science handoff meetings, and other recurring meetings. Prepare slides as needed, capture key decisions and action items, and distribute notes to appropriate stakeholders.
• Translate approved strategies into actionable campaign plans, creative briefs, testing plans, and production requirements.
• Manage monthly direct mail tests and creative variations, ensuring audience definitions, segmentation, data requirements, personalization, and creative variants are aligned and executable.
• Own campaign timelines and the shared production calendar, including data due dates, creative milestones, review rounds, release dates, print dates, and drop dates.
• Manage assets, versioning, production samples, dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on time.
• Maintain the monthly campaign matrix, including audience targeting, creative variations, testing plans, data requirements, and other campaign details.
• Partner with Marketing Data Science to update campaign matrices and verify that targeting and personalization information is accurate before each drop.
• Lead weekly status meetings with Product Marketing Managers, including agenda development, stakeholder alignment, and action-item follow-up.
• 3. Compliance, Quality & Operations
• Lead the Compliance and Legal review process for direct mail materials, partnering with Product Marketing and the creative agency to ensure executions meet regulatory, disclosure, brand, and business requirements.
• Manage creative review and quality control across messaging, data, personalization, offers, URLs, disclosures, and final production files.

What you’ll need:

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of project management experience, preferably supporting direct mail or other marketing campaigns within financial services or another highly regulated industry.

Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to execute complex, multi-channel campaigns and operational initiatives.

Experience managing high-volume direct mail, CRM, lifecycle, or integrated marketing creative execution, ideally within financial services, credit cards, banking, or another highly regulated industry.

Strong project and production management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, creative versions, stakeholders, and deadlines simultaneously.

Highly proficient in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail, and Calendar, Tableau, Snowflake; comfortable building and maintaining detailed trackers and production workflows.

Strong understanding of creative development, production, version control, review/approval processes, and vendor management.

Experience working directly with Legal, Compliance, Creative, Marketing, Analytics, Data, and external production vendors.

Strong attention to detail and a high level of ownership, particularly when managing personalized credit card communications where small errors can have significant downstream impact.

Comfortable working in a test-and-learn environment, using campaign performance data to inform future creative decisions.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to keep senior stakeholders informed while driving day-to-day execution.

Financial services or credit card marketing experience strongly preferred, particularly familiarity with regulated marketing, compliance reviews, disclosures, and credit-related communications.
