U.S. Sales Executive

Fitt Talent Partners is a specialized recruitment firm for top health and wellness companies.

We’re filling this role for a growth-stage company bringing a scientifically validated, proprietary probiotic ingredient to the U.S. dietary supplement market.

About You

You are a sales-driven professional who knows how to open doors with U.S. dietary supplement brands and manufacturers. You enjoy building new business, can turn scientific evidence into a compelling commercial proposition, and are comfortable owning results in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Approximately 4–6 years of B2B or B2B2C sales experience in the U.S. dietary supplement industry.

Proven success generating new business, managing opportunities through the sales process, and closing deals.

Established, credible relationships with U.S. dietary supplement brands and manufacturers, ideally including access to priority strategic accounts.

Experience developing and expanding strategically important customer accounts.

Ingredient sales experience preferred, particularly with scientifically or technically differentiated ingredients.

Ability to understand clinical evidence and translate technical information into a clear commercial proposition.

Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers as well as R&D, product development, marketing, and technical teams.

Strong pipeline management, forecasting, communication, and organizational skills.

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with significant autonomy.

Experience working with a European headquarters and in a scale-up environment is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Build New Business in the U.S.
• Own and develop a defined group of approximately 25–40 priority dietary supplement brands and manufacturers.
• Establish relationships with key decision-makers, arrange customer visits, and identify product opportunities.
• Present the ingredient’s scientific and commercial proposition to prospective customers.
• Manage opportunities from prospecting and qualification through proposals, negotiation, closing, and commercialization.
• Deliver agreed sales objectives and build a strong, sustainable U.S. customer base.
• Develop Strategic Accounts
• Create and execute account plans for priority customers.
• Build relationships across customer organizations, understand their product strategies, and identify additional opportunities.
• Coordinate internal resources to support customer projects and expand key accounts over time.
• Manage the Pipeline and Collaborate Across Teams
• Maintain a structured pipeline with clear next steps, timelines, and realistic forecasts.
• Use agreed CRM and sales-management processes to report progress to European leadership.
• Work with scientific, clinical, product development, regulatory, marketing, technical, and supply chain teams to move projects toward commercialization.
• Partner with marketing on targeted campaigns, trade shows, and account-based activities.
• Work Alongside the U.S. Distributor
• Coordinate account coverage with the company’s U.S. distributor and maintain visibility into its broader sales pipeline.
• Join selected customer meetings where direct company involvement adds value, while remaining accountable for generating and closing opportunities within your own strategic accounts.

This is a full-time, U.S.-based role reporting to the CEO / VP Global Sales. The Sales Executive will work from a U.S. home office, travel regularly to customers across the country, and occasionally travel to Europe.
