About the Role
Cogent is looking for a Mid Market Account Executive to build our business across the Western US. You will own the full sales cycle across technically sophisticated, cloud forward mid market accounts and help establish Cogent in one of the country’s most important technology markets.
This role is for a cybersecurity seller based in the San Francisco Bay Area who can create pipeline, earn credibility with technical buyers, and move fast without sacrificing deal quality.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for new logos and expansions across a defined Western territory.
- Build pipeline through outbound activity you source directly, SDR partnership, marketing, channel partners, and referrals.
- Run discovery, coordinate technical evaluations, build clear ROI cases, and close deals involving multiple stakeholders.
- Manage a high level of activity while maintaining strong conversion, forecast accuracy, and CRM discipline.
- Bring customer and market insight back to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years as a quota carrying individual contributor, including 2 3+ years selling cybersecurity solutions.
- A consistent record of meeting or exceeding quota and winning new logos.
- Strong technical discovery and value selling skills with cloud native and security buyers.
