Accounting Operations Internship (part-time) at Contoro Inc. | LAYIQ

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
Support day-to-day accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) activities.
Track vendor invoices, customer invoices, payments, and outstanding balances.
Assist with invoice processing and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.
Help follow up on outstanding invoices, missing documentation, and payment status.
Assist with account reconciliations and maintaining accurate accounting records.
Bookkeeping & Expense Management
Maintain and categorize company expenses in Ramp and QuickBooks.
Review transactions and help ensure expenses are assigned to the appropriate account, department, vendor, or project.
Assist with reviewing employee reimbursements and company expenses for appropriate documentation and coding.
Identify missing receipts, documentation, or coding and follow up with employees as needed.
Support month-end accounting preparation by keeping financial records organized and up to date.
Deployment Project Expense Tracking
Track expenses associated with individual customer deployment projects.
Help ensure deployment-related purchases, travel, materials, contractors, freight, and other costs are allocated to the appropriate project.
Maintain project-level expense trackers and compare actual spending against approved project budgets.
Identify unusual, unexpected, or increasing project costs and escalate them to management.
Work with deployment and operations teams to obtain supporting documentation and expense information.
Help develop consistent processes for tracking deployment costs across multiple customer sites.
Cost Analysis & Expense Visibility
Assist with analyzing company and project expenses to identify spending trends and potential cost-saving opportunities.
Review recurring expenses, vendors, subscriptions, purchasing patterns, and deployment costs.
Flag unusual, duplicate, unnecessary, or potentially excessive spending for management review.
Assist with vendor pricing comparisons and expense analyses when requested.
Prepare supporting data to help management make informed purchasing and cost-management decisions.
Reporting & Process Improvement
Prepare recurring AP/AR, expense, budget, and deployment cost reports.
Assist with budget-to-actual tracking and variance reporting.
Help improve accounting and expense-management workflows as the company grows.
Maintain organized supporting documentation for accounting, audits, investor due diligence, and financial reporting.
Work with internal teams and external accountants to obtain and organize required financial information.
