We are looking for an experienced people leader to own a consolidated function that unifies short-term, mid-term, and long-term planning for our E-Commerce business. This leader will own the end-to-end planning discipline that spans Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), metro optimization, and the real estate pipeline, building a single, forward-looking planning engine that carries the business into Q4 and beyond.
This is a high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of Strategy, Operations, Finance, and Technology. You will manage a team of program managers and planners, set the strategic planning agenda, and be the single-threaded leader accountable for the accuracy, cadence, and outcomes of E-Commerce planning. We are looking for a strategic thinker who obsesses over customers, earns trust with stakeholders, dives deep into business metrics and processes, and consistently delivers results through the team they lead.
Key job responsibilities
Lead, hire, coach, and develop a team of planning program managers and analysts; set clear goals, manage performance, and grow talent across all three planning horizons.
Serve as the single-threaded leader for E-Commerce Planning, owning the integrated planning cadence (weekly S&OP, WBR/MBR/QBR, and OP1/OP2 annual planning).
Own short-term S&OP: demand and capacity planning, forecast accuracy, and the weekly operating rhythm that drives near-term operational execution.
Direct mid-term metro optimization: network and metro-level capacity, staffing, and service-type planning across the 3–12 month horizon.
Steward the long-term real estate and capacity pipeline, partnering with Operations and Real Estate to align the network with multi-year growth priorities.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Merchandising, Finance, and Technology to define planning strategy, resolve trade-offs, and drive alignment on complex, ambiguous problems.
Build and continuously improve planning processes, tools, and mechanisms; identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and raise the bar on planning rigor and accuracy.
Translate planning insights into recommendations for senior leadership; sharpen the organization’s focus on customer experience, subscriptions growth, and disciplined forward-looking planning.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
2+ years of team management experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Bachelor's degree
Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving, or experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and interpreting financial results across multiple business areas
Experience working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, or experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
MBA
E-Commerce, grocery, retail, or last-mile/logistics domain experience.
Advanced analytical skills with a track record of interpreting trends and data to make informed projections and decisions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence senior leadership.
Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
