Job Description:

The Principal Product Manager, Content Transformation will lead this evolution. This role will define and execute a roadmap to modernize our approach to Content across our Direct Tax business, leveraging AI, automation, and human-in-the-loop workflows to increase speed, quality, scalability, and impact.

This is a highly strategic and hands-on product role focused on transforming the way subject matter expertise is applied throughout our Direct Tax organization. You will work across Product, Content, Technology, and Operations teams to design new capabilities, workflows, and tools that combine AI with deep domain expertise, enabling our experts to focus on high-value analysis, thought leadership, judgment, and validation while accelerating the delivery of accurate, impactful content to customers. You will play a critical role in

helping Thomson Reuters build the future operating model for AI-powered content creation and delivery.

Role Overview :

The Principal Product Manager, Content Transformation is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering the highest-impact opportunities to modernize our content ecosystem through AI and automation.

This leader will develop a deep understanding of our content workflows, tax domain expertise, and product development processes. They will assess where AI can drive meaningful improvements in efficiency, quality, speed, and scale while ensuring appropriate human oversight and governance.

Success in this role requires a rare combination of product leadership, operational transformation experience, AI fluency, and execution excellence. The ideal candidate can move seamlessly between strategy and implementation, defining long-term operating models while also building prototypes, testing AI solutions, and partnering directly with teams to implement new ways of working.

As Thomson Reuters' most senior individual contributor product role, the Principal Product Manager is expected to exercise significant autonomy, influence senior leaders, navigate ambiguity, and drive cross-functional alignment across multiple teams and disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• As a Principal Product Manager, you will: Define and Lead the Content Transformation Strategy
• Create and execute a multi-year roadmap to transform the Tax & Accounting content organization through AI and automation.
• Identify and prioritize transformation opportunities across content acquisition, interpretation, authoring, validation, maintenance, and product integration workflows.
• Establish clear success metrics and business cases that demonstrate measurable operational and customer impact.
• Reimagine How Subject Matter Expertise Is Applied
• Partner closely with Product Content leaders, tax analysts and other domain experts to understand tax content, software, and customer workflows and pain points, identifying opportunities to deliver higher-quality content faster, more accurately, and at greater scale through AI-enabled processes.
• Design future-state workflows that effectively combine AI capabilities with human expertise.
• Help evolve roles from manual content processing and translation activities toward higher-value work such as prompt development, exception management, quality evaluation, and expert decision-making.
• Build AI-Powered Workflow Solutions
• Work hands-on with Engineering, Data Science, TR Labs, and business stakeholders to prototype and deliver AI-enabled capabilities.
• Work with product content and tech partners to evolve capabilities and expertise by understanding internal development needs, exploring new technologies, evaluating development options, and advocating for investment.
• Design and implement human-in-the-loop processes that balance automation, quality, compliance, and trust.
• Apply technologies including Generative AI, agentic workflows, machine learning, workflow automation, and orchestration platforms to solve complex content challenges.
• Drive Organizational Change
• Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives that span Product, Content, Operations, Technology, and Compliance teams.
• Build alignment among leaders and stakeholders around future-state processes, tools, and operating models.
• Champion adoption of new workflows and ways of working across the organization.
• Measure and Optimize Outcomes
• Establish metrics to evaluate efficiency gains, quality improvements, cost savings, and business impact.
• Continuously identify opportunities for optimization and expansion of AI-enabled workflows.
• Use data and experimentation to guide investment decisions and roadmap priorities.
• Serve as a Thought Leader
• Stay at the forefront of AI, automation, knowledge management, and digital transformation trends.
• Help shape Thomson Reuters' strategy for applying AI to content-intensive domains.
• Influence leaders and teams through vision, expertise, and execution.

Required Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will be:

A Strategic Transformer

You have a demonstrated track record of leading large-scale business, operational, or workflow transformation initiatives and can connect long-term vision with practical execution.

AI Fluent and Experimentation Driven

You understand how modern AI technologies can be applied to knowledge-intensive work and have practical experience designing AI-powered workflows, automation solutions, or human-in-the-loop systems.

Customer and User Obsessed

You are passionate about understanding the needs of both external customers and internal users and use those insights to drive transformation priorities.

Hands-On and Outcome-Oriented

You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves, testing solutions, analyzing workflows, working directly with users, and rapidly iterating toward better outcomes.

You excel at driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and can effectively communicate with executives, technical teams, domain experts, and operational leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of Product Management, Business Transformation, Process Transformation, or related leadership experience.
• Experience leading complex AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
• Demonstrated success redesigning business processes and operating models through technology innovation.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, agentic AI, workflow automation, and human-in-the-loop design patterns.
• Experience building or delivering AI-enabled products, platforms, or internal tooling solutions.
• Ability to analyze complex operational workflows and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
• Experience working with highly regulated, content-intensive, or knowledge-driven domains.
• Tax, accounting, regulatory, compliance, or other professional information experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change within matrixed environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $157,500 USD - $292,500 USD.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.

Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
