Join Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer to lead the development and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, including infrastructure, tooling, and AI/ML frameworks. What you'll do:
Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities.
Drive full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Lead system design reviews to ensure quality, feasibility, and alignment with architectural best practices.
Build AI-driven applications and integrate machine learning components to support automation and intelligent features.
Mentor engineers and influence technical decisions promoting standardization, reusability, and sustainability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements and track success metrics.
Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and code quality through feedback and innovation.
What you'll bring:
Proven expertise in delivering platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with strategic roadmaps.
Strong proficiency in cloud-native architecture principles such as microservices, containers, and automation to ensure scalable and resilient systems.
Extensive experience managing the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Demonstrated ability to design secure, maintainable, modular, and scalable AI/ML-driven applications using multiple programming languages.
Effective technical leadership and mentorship skills fostering continuous learning and engineering excellence.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to engage stakeholders and translate complex problems into actionable solutions.
Commitment to technical ownership, sound judgment, and continuous improvement in software quality and processes.
