Job Description

In this position, you will be joining teams locally and across the country, working on a diverse portfolio of projects with our Water Services Group. Your tasks could include:
Preparing detailed process design plans and specifications for water, water reuse, and wastewater treatment facilities, headworks, primary and secondary processes, solids treatment processes, membrane systems, groundwater treatment, RO systems, pump stations, chemical feed systems, collection and conveyance systems, and storage and mixing.
Providing construction support services, including submittal and
RFI reviews, design change reviews, site visits, and construction management services.
Conducting master planning, research, conceptual design, and plant hydraulics
Reviewing draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and requirements
Performs site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.

Provid ing technical guidance and training to more junior staff
, re view ing the work of more junior staff.
This role requires strong communication and teamwork with staff in our local and regional office s and various engineering disciplines in other offices. In addition, this employee would have an opportunity to represent
CDM Smith at conferences and provide technical support on business development opportunities.

Skills & Abilities
Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Solid knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 3 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate’s salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
