Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support our procurement and purchasing operations.

The Purchasing Assistant will assist with assigned purchasing projects across multiple domains, including digital assets and other client-focused purchasing initiatives. The successful candidate will help coordinate purchasing activities, process assigned transactions, maintain accurate records, communicate with relevant parties, and ensure that purchasing tasks are completed securely, efficiently, and transparently.

This is a part-time, commission-based Independent Contractor position, with compensation based on assigned projects or transactions.

As you demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and consistent performance, there may be an opportunity to transition into a full-time salaried Purchasing Assistant position after approximately six months, depending on business needs and mutual interest.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with assigned purchasing and procurement projects.
• Research and identify appropriate products, services, vendors, or purchasing options based on project requirements.
• Coordinate purchasing activities from request through completion.
• Process and document assigned transactions accurately.
• Maintain organized purchasing records, receipts, invoices, and transaction documentation.
• Communicate with vendors, suppliers, clients, and internal team members as required.
• Compare purchasing options, pricing, availability, and relevant transaction details.
• Follow company procedures for purchasing, documentation, verification, and approvals.
• Assist with digital asset purchasing and other specialized purchasing assignments when required.
• Verify transaction details before completing assigned purchases.
• Track the status of purchases and provide timely updates to management.
• Identify and report discrepancies, delays, unusual activity, or purchasing issues.
• Protect confidential company and client information.
• Maintain professionalism and transparency throughout all purchasing activities.
• Perform other procurement and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support roles.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic ERP or procurement software is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
