The CUS First Year Committee Chair plays an exciting role in creating an unforgettable first-year experience for UBC Sauder students! From planning engaging events to building a strong sense of community, the Chair will have the opportunity to hire, lead and power the CUS First Year Committee to create a welcoming, inclusive and exciting environment where every first-year student feels connected and supported.
- Approx. 8-12 hours/week
- October 2026 - April 2027
- Main Responsibilities: Hire and lead the CUS First Year Committee, fostering a collaborative and enthusiastic team environment
- Plan and execute engaging first-year events that create a welcoming space for students to connect, have fun, and grow both personally and professionally
- Facilitate weekly Committee meetings and hold individual check-ins with Committee members as needed to provide support, align on responsibilities, and keep initiatives on track
