SISA VP External

The VP External is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with CUS services/clubs, AMS clubs, other UBC organizations, alumni, and external businesses. This position plays a pivotal role in securing sponsorships and creating meaningful collaboration opportunities for SISA events and initiatives.

• Responsibilities: Develop and execute sponsorship and outreach strategies while securing sponsorships, in-kind partnerships, and drink/food sponsors for SISA events
• Delegate external-related tasks effectively and oversee the External Associate(s)
• Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, alumni, guest speakers, and external partners
• Foster collaborations with Sauder/CUS clubs, AMS clubs, and other UBC organizations
• Support the planning and execution of networking, informational, and collaborative events
• Be timely with deadlines and respond to all Slack messages within 24 hours
• Mandatory attendance at all executive meetings and SISA events
• Participate in boothing events for minimum 4 slots (30 minutes each)
• Adhere to the three strike system in case of no show at meetings and/or SISA events without a valid reason
• Qualifications: Prior experience in securing sponsorships , outreach or professional communications
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Open to learning diverse cultures
• Strong leadership and delegation capabilities
• Highly organized with strong time management skills
• Proficient in critical thinking and problem-solving under pressure
• Co-op and exchange candidates must have sufficient availability to fulfill responsibilities consistently
