Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Role:
The Manager, Operations is responsible for multiple lines and departments within Plant Operations. The Manager directly oversees one or more salaried supervisors with indirect management over a large group of hourly employees. The Manager is accountable for all production processes to be adhered to and continuously improve the performance in area of scope.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in the selection, training, and development of new employees.
- Coach, develop, and support team members
- Manages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.
- Meets production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.
- Facilitates floor operations and removes barriers for supervisors and hourly employees to meet measurable objectives.
- Implements and maintains Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Operator Autonomous Maintenance execution, follow up and improvement.
- Engagement on machine condition continuous improvement
- Lead OEE improvement across all areas
- Serve as a leader, trainer, and coach of lean and TPM principles.
- Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Complies with the terms of the labor agreement.

Qualifications:
- Required: Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience required
Experience:
Required:
3+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting
Preferred:
5+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing setting

Experienced managerial level with responsibility for one or more activities within a department

Accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function; conducts performance reviews and recommends pay actions.
Areas of responsibility are typically unique within the department or function.
