Attorney (Litigation) - Indiana

Jendryk, Hamer & Begley, LLC is seeking Attorneys to join its growing Insurance Defense Civil Litigation practice in Indiana.

Ideal candidates must be licensed to practice law in the State of Indiana and have prior experience in insurance defense civil litigation handling automobile accident claims. Additional consideration if also licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Attorneys will be expected to perform the following tasks: Draft pleadings, motions, orders, discovery and legal memoranda.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery, conduct legal research, and take and defend depositions.
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations and prepare status report correspondence.
• Assist with and participate in mediations, pretrial settlement conferences and court appearances.
• Interact directly with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, colleagues and staff; and manage a substantive case load.
• Perform a variety of difficult and complex legal work and operate with substantial discretion and minimal direction or supervision.
• Job Type: Full-Time remote based on experience and qualifications.
• Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Requirements

• Candidates must: Must be licensed to practice law in Indiana (both state and federal) with additional consideration given for dual licensure with the State of Illinois.
• Proficient with MS Office and hourly billing platforms.
• Demonstrate strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Proactively work both independently and as part of a team.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skill and navigate hearings in state and federal court with poise and professionalism.
