Electrical Engineer ll at Westlake | LAYIQ

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, practical field experience, and the ability to collaborate across functions in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
At least 3 years of experience in heavy industrial electrical and instrumentation/control engineering design, checkout, and commissioning.
Working knowledge of electrical distribution, instrumentation standards, codes, and regulations.
Experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA/HMI control system software, hardware, and architecture.
Experience in applying electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, control systems, and variable frequency drives in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on field experience with electrical distribution systems, instruments, and control systems.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering disciplines, craft employees, frontline supervisors, vendors, and operations teams.
Working knowledge of databases and electrical/instrumentation software tools is preferred.
Schedule
This is normally a Monday through Friday, Day shift position. Occasional after-hours support may be required based on project, maintenance, or plant needs.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Work Environment
The noise level is usually moderate in an office environment. Some work may be performed in operating units and may require required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection. The role may involve exposure to outside elements, use of stairs and elevators, and occasional travel by air or automobile.
