Position Summary:
As the Regional Director of Operations, you will oversee, plan, and manage the operations of multiple dermatology centers within a designated territory. Develop and implement strategic business plans for each center to achieve financial and service objectives in alignment with PhyNet’s corporate goals.
This position will oversee operations for the follow locations:
Douglasville, GA Columbus, GA, Rome, GA, and Cartersville, GA
Essential Functions:

Clinic Operations Management: Oversee clinic operations to ensure alignment with corporate goals related to service, associate engagement, and patient experience. Foster a culture focused on quality medical care and superior customer service while supporting the needs of physicians within the organization.
Administrative Oversight: Direct, supervise, and coordinate the functions and activities of clinics, including systems management, budgeting, materials management, human resources, data processing, and facility maintenance.
Daily Operations: Supervise daily operations such as patient registration, cash collection, charge processing, and referral/authorization management.
Clinical Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of dermatology clinic operations, including patient visits, surgical procedures, referral processes, pathology lab interactions, and cosmetic services, to support providers, patients, and the financial goals of PhyNet Dermatology.
Corporate Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of corporate goals, objectives, and policies to guide clinic operations.
Quality Healthcare Promotion: Advocate for the provision of cost-effective, high-quality healthcare services to patients.
Patient and Client Satisfaction: Ensure a high level of satisfaction among patients and clients at all clinics.
Team Development: Foster initiative, motivation, and positive morale among center staff.
Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with government regulations and third-party payer requirements.
Quality Standards Maintenance: Uphold standards of quality care across all facilities.
Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational plans to ensure the medical and logistical viability of the clinics, achieving goals in an efficient and coordinated manner.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets, including revenue forecasting, workload assessment, and resource allocation, to ensure financial stability. Report and analyze monthly and annual data to ensure budget compliance.
Marketing Strategy Implementation: Assist in the development and execution of marketing plans, including corporate strategy, promotion of clinics and services, and product/service assessment. Manage public relations and referral relationships.
Market Analysis: Analyze market conditions, identify trends, and initiate policy or procedural changes as needed. Negotiate client discounts to stay competitive.
Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts within the organization while safeguarding the professional and legal rights of all parties involved.
Resource Management: Resolve issues related to staffing, facility utilization, equipment, and supply management.
Process Improvement: Analyze and refine systems and procedures to enhance workflow efficiency. Compile and maintain statistics as required by senior management.
Facility Improvement: Recommend and oversee facility improvements, including construction, renovations, and equipment purchases.
Policy Communication: Communicate corporate policies, objectives, and operational procedures to center employees effectively.
Staff Recruitment and Training: Lead the recruitment, selection, and orientation of center personnel. Collaborate with staff to develop and implement performance goals and objectives, and oversee merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
Interdepartmental Coordination: Work closely with other Center Administrators and senior management to ensure coordinated efforts in professional relations and contractual arrangements with third-party payers, clients, and government agencies.
Compliance with Standards: Consult with medical staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Public and Professional Representation: Represent clinics at public and professional meetings and conferences as required. Participate in center communication and public relations programs.
Professional Development: Maintain professional affiliations and pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with trends in healthcare administration.
Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all matters.
Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A minimum of seven years of management experience, including at least three years in a healthcare organization. A minimum of five years of experience in budgeting and financial analysis, with dermatology experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in health or business administration, preferably with an emphasis in finance or accounting. A master’s degree is preferred.
Expertise in financial planning, budget preparation, trend analysis, and financial analysis.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, collaborate with, and work effectively with others.
In-depth knowledge of organizational policies, healthcare administration, and operating procedures.
Proficiency in fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
Familiarity with healthcare administration systems and governmental regulations.
Competency in computer systems and applications.
Strong planning, organizing, and supervisory skills.
Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients, and the public.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
Proficiency in researching and preparing comprehensive reports.
