Pay Range: $66,000 to $72,000, depending on experience

Make an impact in Pima County District 3! Pima County is seeking a thoughtful, collaborative, and highly skilled professional to support the District 3 Supervisor in addressing constituent concerns, researching and advancing policy priorities, and connecting with communities throughout the district.
This position plays a key role in preparing for Board of Supervisors meetings, developing clear and effective communications, coordinating community outreach, and building strong relationships with County departments, community organizations, and government and community leaders. The successful candidate will serve as a representative of District 3 at meetings, events, boards, and committees while helping ensure the Supervisor’s priorities are effectively communicated and supported.
Preferred candidates will have at least five years of policy-related experience be it in government, nonprofit organizations, or other institutions, at the local, state, or federal level. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate experience and commitment to building community leadership and capacity to influence decision makers and advocate for community needs.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make complexity simple and clear.
Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to delegate, prioritize, and effectively support multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
Ability to work under self-initiative and as part of a team.
A proven ability to gracefully and productively manage conflict and confidential information with discretion.
Expert-level organizational skills, including fluency or aptitude for mastering collaborative tools including Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint/One Note, and others.
Preferred - Bilingual English and Spanish language skills.
Demonstrated awareness of how one's life experiences influence one's personal attitudes, biases, and assumptions.
Demonstrated commitment to continual learning and ability to deliver culturally responsive services successfully.
Commitment to equity and inclusion as organizational practice and culture.
Understands how issues intersect with racism, economic and social inequality in the U.S. and has a passion for working to dismantle these systems.
This is an appointed, unclassified position exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.

resolving constituent issues by coordinating with County departments, and other stakeholders; Maintains accurate records of constituent interactions, ensuring follow-up and closure of issues in a timely manner; Assists in organizing events, town halls, and community outreach efforts to facilitate communication between the Supervisor and constituents.
Provides general administrative support, including drafting correspondence, filing, and maintaining records related to Board actions and constituent concerns; Maintains appropriate security and confidentiality of information created or encountered in the performance of assigned duties; Prepares and monitors the budget and expenditures for the office, ensuring compliance with County policies.
