Quality Assurance Associate (Temporary)

About the Role

Ring Concierge is a rapidly growing, female-founded fine jewelry company, specializing in custom engagement rings and fine jewelry. We are seeking a temporary Quality Assurance Associate to join our team! The ideal candidate should have a passion for product and craftsmanship. This position will be responsible for conducting inspections on incoming production and actively contributing to enhancing overall quality by efficiently identifying underlying causes of issues and working closely with Product Development to resolve them.

This is a temporary role, expected to work full-time hours out of our Midtown NYC office through the end of 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all incoming inspections for Bridal and Fine Jewelry & ensure all products meet Ring Concierge's standards.
• Evaluate diamonds, colored stones, and pearls to ensure that quality is accurate.
• Raise quality concerns as soon as possible and communicate defects to the Product Development team.
• Inspect on-hand inventory as quality concerns arise, whether from internal review or customer feedback.
• Review and validate quality inspection submissions from suppliers, along with product detail decks for all inbound shipments.
• Document internal and external inspection results and enter data into the company database.
• Identify manufacturing defect trends; work with the Product Development team, recommending solutions and product improvements.
• Assess, report, and document supplier production and quality issues.
• Work closely with the Product Development team to understand and resolve technical challenges.
• Participate in virtual product quality reviews with cross-functional partners.
• Establish quality requirements in partnership with Product Development and inspection standards for all jewelry.

Requirements

• GIA Graduate Diamonds (GD) diploma or Graduate Gemologist (GG) diploma is preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in quality assurance, jewelry inspection, and repair are required.
• Experience and understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes, testing, and supply chain operations preferred.
• Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, gold, platinum, and silver is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Google Suite is required.

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting under tight deadlines with strong project and time management skills.
• Comfortable working autonomously.
• Eager to take on new challenges, introduce and implement new approaches and ideas, grow, test, and learn.

• Full-time role onsite located in Midtown, NYC
• Working Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that this engagement will be during peak sales periods, and your day may extend past listed office hours

The compensation range for this role is $30/hr
