Education (Minimum Needed): High school diploma or GED; additional vocational or other training preferred
Experience (Minimum Needed): one year's previous comparable experience
Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Mathematical skills, follow orders; good reading and comprehension skills; able to work independently as well as with co-workers.
Special Skills: basic electrical and plumbing knowledge; able to interact well with other departments and associates.
Other: Knowledge of products, knowledge of warehouse, ability to work in a neat and orderly fashion; able to work in various areas and temperature zones within the warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer, and dock) and inside/outside the facility during all seasons of the year. Able to work overtime as needed (including weekends/holidays for emergency needs or special projects)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneel, crouching, crawling, lifting/moving objects
DESCRIBE WORK ENVIRONMENT : Employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and, frequently exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock; operates various cleaning and materials handling equipment (including but not limited to high lifts, pallet jacks, lawn tractors, warehouse scrubber, snowplows and small dump truck); works independently to complete daily tasks, as well as with other associates on larger projects; works inside facility (cooler, freezer, dry goods area, dock, offices, garage) as well as outside
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19.82 and $ 20.00.
As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation.
