Collaboration Platform Principal Engineer at Huntington Bank | LAYIQ

Designing, implementing, and optimizing collaboration platforms.
Managing platform lifecycle, capacity planning, and technology roadmaps.
Ensuring high availability, resiliency, scalability, and operational supportability.
Operational Excellence
Lead Tier 3 and Tier 4 engineering support activities for collaboration platforms.
Drive incident, problem, and change management processes.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans for major service disruptions.
Establish and maintain operational runbooks, engineering documentation, and support procedures.
Monitor platform performance, service health, and capacity metrics.
Identify automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
Team Development & Mentorship
Mentor and develop engineers across the Collaboration Services organization.
Promote knowledge sharing, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and talent development initiatives.
Provide guidance and leadership during complex projects and operational challenges.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of progressive experience supporting enterprise collaboration, unified communications, voice, video, or telecommunications environments.
Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience leading engineering teams, technical organizations, or large-scale collaboration initiatives.
Preferred Technical Qualifications
Demonstrated experience developing technical strategy while maintaining operational excellence.
Strong understanding of enterprise service management, change control, and operation al support processes.
