Summary
The Cloud Solutions Engineering & Adoption leader is responsible for driving the strategy, planning, delivery, financial management, and customer experience for enterprise infrastructure and cloud services.
This leader serves as a critical connection point between technology teams, business stakeholders, finance, architecture, engineering, and strategic partners to ensure Cloud capabilities are delivered reliably, efficiently, and in alignment with enterprise priorities.
The role owns an integrated operating model spanning customer success, demand and capacity planning, portfolio and delivery management, cloud financial operations (FinOps), service performance, and continuous improvement. The leader will establish transparency across technology consumption, cost, delivery commitments, service performance, and business outcomes while creating a strong culture of accountability and customer focus.

Position Responsibilities
Customer Success & Business Partnership
Establish and lead the customer success strategy for enterprise infrastructure and cloud services, ensuring technology capabilities align with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Serve as a senior relationship leader for business and technology stakeholders, creating clear channels for engagement, demand management, escalation, and service improvement.
Develop mechanisms to understand customer needs, measure satisfaction, identify experience gaps, and translate feedback into actionable improvements.
Provide customers and senior leaders with transparent views of service performance, delivery commitments, consumption, cost, risks, and opportunities.
Champion a customer-first culture across infrastructure and cloud organizations while balancing reliability, security, cost, scalability, and enterprise standards.
Strategy, Planning & Portfolio Management
Lead strategic and annual planning for infrastructure and cloud capabilities, investments, capacity, and modernization initiatives.
Translate enterprise strategy and business demand into actionable infrastructure and cloud roadmaps.
Establish integrated demand, capacity, financial, and resource planning processes.
Develop and maintain portfolio governance that provides visibility into priorities, dependencies, investments, risks, milestones, and outcomes.
Partner with architecture and engineering leaders to align technology roadmaps with business growth, modernization, resiliency, security, and operational requirements.
Drive data-informed prioritization and investment decisions across competing infrastructure and cloud demands.
Delivery & Execution
Provide leadership and governance for the delivery of complex infrastructure, cloud, migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
Establish consistent delivery practices, metrics, controls, and accountability across the portfolio.
Ensure delivery commitments are clearly defined and managed across scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and business outcomes.
Identify systemic delivery risks, dependencies, and constraints and drive resolution across organizational boundaries.
Improve delivery predictability, speed, and transparency through standardized planning, governance, automation, and performance management.
Partner with engineering, architecture, operations, cybersecurity, application, and business teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of infrastructure and cloud capabilities.
Cloud FinOps & Technology Financial Management
Establish and mature enterprise FinOps capabilities to optimize cloud and infrastructure economics.
Create transparency into cloud consumption, infrastructure costs, unit economics, forecasts, budgets, and financial performance.
Lead cloud cost allocation, showback/chargeback, forecasting, optimization, commitment management, and financial governance practices.
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Engineering, and business stakeholders to improve accountability for technology consumption and spending.
Develop optimization strategies that balance cost with performance, reliability, security, resiliency, and business requirements.
Establish KPIs and executive reporting for cloud spend, utilization, savings realization, forecast accuracy, unit costs, and optimization opportunities.
Embed financial accountability into architecture, engineering, and product decisions rather than treating cost optimization as a downstream activity.
Service Performance & Operational Excellence
Establish an integrated performance management framework for infrastructure and cloud services.
Define and monitor KPIs, SLAs/SLOs, customer experience measures, financial metrics, delivery performance, and operational health.
Develop executive dashboards and operating reviews that create transparency and drive action.
Identify recurring service, delivery, financial, and customer experience issues and lead cross-functional improvement initiatives.
Promote automation, standardization, self-service, and data-driven decision-making to improve efficiency and customer experience.
Partner with operational and engineering leaders to improve service reliability, resiliency, scalability, and recoverability.
Governance & Executive Communication
Establish governance mechanisms that connect strategy, demand, investment, delivery, operations, customer outcomes, and financial performance.
Lead executive-level portfolio, customer, financial, and service performance reviews.
Communicate complex infrastructure, cloud, delivery, and financial topics in clear business terms.
Provide senior leadership with actionable insights, recommendations, risks, tradeoffs, and investment considerations.
Ensure appropriate controls, standards, policies, and governance are embedded throughout planning and delivery processes.
Leadership & Talent Development
Build and lead a high-performing organization spanning customer success, planning, portfolio/delivery management, FinOps, analytics, and governance.
Establish clear accountability, decision rights, operating rhythms, and performance expectations.
Develop leaders and teams with strong business acumen, technical understanding, financial discipline, and customer orientation.
Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, transparency, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes.
Influence across organizational boundaries and create alignment among senior business, technology, finance, and partner stakeholders.
Position Requirements
Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in programming environment; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences
Significant leadership experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud technology, technology strategy, portfolio management, delivery, customer success, or technology financial management.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale infrastructure and cloud portfolios in complex enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of public cloud, private cloud, data center, compute, storage, network, platform, and infrastructure service models.
Experience establishing or scaling FinOps and cloud financial management capabilities.
Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, demand management, portfolio governance, capacity planning, financial management, and large-scale technology delivery.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, investment analysis, unit economics, and optimization.
Experience developing executive-level metrics, dashboards, operating reviews, and decision frameworks.
Proven ability to lead through influence across business, technology, finance, procurement, cybersecurity, architecture, and engineering organizations.
Exceptional executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and organizational leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in complex, highly regulated, large-scale enterprise environments.
Experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience implementing FinOps Foundation principles and practices.
FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification.
Cloud, ITIL, Agile, product management, program management, or technology financial management certifications.
Experience leading infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, platform transformation, or data center transformation programs.
Experience managing strategic technology vendors, cloud providers, managed service providers, and complex commercial agreements.
