Our team is growing, and we are looking for a high-energy, hungry and self-motivated individual who is interested in building a career in sales . This is an entry-level business development role for someone who is willing to pick up the phone, create new relationships, learn our markets and solutions, and support experienced sales professionals throughout complex sales cycles.
The successful candidate will be curious, resilient, comfortable with proactive outreach and eager to learn. This role provides significant exposure to our clients, solutions and sales process and can provide a strong foundation for future career growth within the sales organization.
Skills & Experience Include:
Identify and engage prospective clients through cold calling, email, social outreach, networking and industry events
Research target firms and contacts to develop thoughtful and relevant prospecting strategies
Generate and qualify leads and partner with Sales Executives to develop those relationships into sales opportunities
Support Sales Executives throughout the sales process, including client meetings, presentations, proposals and RFP responses
Develop knowledge of Broadridge’s investment management technology and operations solutions and the markets we serve
Stay current on industry trends and use market intelligence to identify potential opportunities
Coordinate with Product, Solutions, Marketing and other internal partners to support sales activities
Maintain accurate prospecting, pipeline and client activity in CRM
Learn the fundamentals of complex B2B sales, including discovery, solution positioning, pipeline management, commercial processes and contracting
Requirements:
2–3 years of experience in sales, business development, financial services or another client-facing role
Strong interest in developing a career in sales and financial services
Self-starter with a strong work ethic, sense of urgency and willingness to proactively create opportunities
Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting and building new relationships
Curious, coachable and eager to learn complex products and markets
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of or interest in Asset Management and Alternative Investments and selling software
Strong organizational skills and attention to follow-through
Working knowledge of CRM, Microsoft Office, LinkedIn and other sales tools
Willingness to travel as needed
