The Opportunity

OuterSignal started with DTC brands. We’re now moving quickly upmarket, driven mostly by inbound demand.

The largest retailers, consumer apps, hotel groups, and consumer businesses in the world still don’t really know who their customers are. They need their marketing to be built on true personalization, and they’re coming to us for it.

Your job is to hunt, nurture, and close these deals. They’re six- and seven-figure contracts with complex sales cycles and real buying committees, and that’s exactly what excites you. You’ll work directly with the founders and help shape how we sell to enterprises as the team grows.

What You’ll Do

• Own your pipeline end to end.
• Run discovery, scope the pilot, present results, and drive the deal through security questionnaires, legal review, and procurement to a signed agreement. Most of your accounts will have a data team, a legal team, and a CFO in the room.
• Sell like a consultant.
• Enterprise buyers here are asking what persona intelligence changes about acquisition, retention, and partnerships. You build the business case with them, using pilot results on their own customers, and you work closely with our CX and product teams to get it implemented and make sure the customer wins.
• Run pilots that convert.
• Work with our CX and product teams to stand up a pilot on a slice of the customer base, set the success criteria up front, and walk the buying committee through the readout.
• Work the whole account.
• Land the first team, then expand into the second and third use case. Enterprise accounts at OuterSignal grow when the persona data reaches marketing, partnerships, and product.
• Feed the founders the right way.
• The founders will join calls where a founder-to-founder or founder-to-exec conversation moves the deal. You decide when that is, and you run everything else.
• Help build the motion as you run it.
• The job is building pipeline, closing large deals, and growing within accounts. As you do that, you’ll help us improve how we scope pilots, get through security and legal review, and hand accounts to Customer Success.
• How We’ll Measure You
• Enterprise new ARR closed, against an annual quota.
• Qualified pipeline generated, pilots booked.
• Who You Are
• You’ve closed six-figure enterprise SaaS deals, with sales cycles that ran through security, legal, and procurement, and you can walk us through three of them.
• You understand how a growth, CRM, or partnerships team at a consumer company actually works, and you’ve sold them the technology they run on — marketing, analytics, or customer intelligence.
• You run a deal like a consultant, not a demo. You are comfortable in a room with a CFO and a data lead, and you can build the business case yourself.
• You are deeply motivated and resourceful. You’ll work directly with the founders and have the resources to win, but you can create your own pipeline and find your way through any door.
• You’ve worked at an early-stage company, or you know what it means to sell a product that is still becoming what it will be.
• Remote, occassional travel to NYC required
