We are looking for a Social Media Manager, Brand to drive brand storytelling, social-first creative, and culture-defining activations across our key platforms. This is a role for an experienced social/brand professional who can translate Robinhood's mission into content and moments that resonate with Millennial and Gen Z audiences. You will balance a bold, culturally fluent brand voice with the rigorous compliance standards required in financial services.
This role owns brand storytelling, social activations, and creative strategy — it does not include day-to-day community moderation or customer support, which are owned by dedicated teams. This role is equal parts brand storyteller, trend-spotter, creative strategist, and cultural translator. You’ll know how to turn a product moment into a scroll-stopping activation that Millennial and Gen Z audiences share, remix, and talk about.
This role is based in our New York, NY, and Menlo Park, CA offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
Own our social content strategy: Define the voice, tone, and creative point of view for Robinhood’s brand across X, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit — ensuring every post feels distinctly Robinhood and resonates with a Millennial and Gen Z audience.
Lead social-first brand campaigns: Partner with Brand, Creative, and Product to conceive and execute social-native campaigns and always-on content that make Robinhood’s mission tangible and culturally relevant.
Spearhead social activations: Ideate and execute high-impact brand activations — cultural moments, platform-native stunts, creator collabs, live events, and surprise-and-delight drops — designed to build buzz and deepen affinity with Millennial and Gen Z audiences.
Speak fluently to Millennial and Gen Z audiences: Bring a deep, authentic understanding of Millennial and Gen Z culture, humor, platform behavior, and finance-adjacent trends (FinTok, FinTwit, money influencers) to keep Robinhood’s content native and credible.
Stay ahead of culture: Constantly track platform algorithm shifts, emerging formats, meme culture, and rising creators to keep Robinhood’s brand presence cutting-edge, timely, and relevant.
Translate insights into strategy: Use social listening and performance data to understand what resonates with our audience, and turn those insights into sharper creative and content decisions.
Champion brand and compliance judgment: Act as a critical line of defense to ensure all brand and activation content adheres to Robinhood’s Content Standards and financial regulations, ensuring information is always fair, balanced, and truthful.
What you bring
5+ years of experience in social media, brand marketing, or social-first creative roles, preferably at a fast-paced consumer tech, fintech, or culturally relevant brand, with a track record of leading campaigns or activations end-to-end.
Deep fluency in Millennial and Gen Z culture — you know what earns a share, a save, a remix, or a comment, and you can spot a trend before it peaks.
Experience partnering with brand, creative, and campaign teams — you know how to translate a brand or product story into content and activations that feel native and culturally relevant on social.
A native understanding of platform nuances (especially our priority channels: X, TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit) and how brand content performs differently across each.
Exceptional written and creative communication skills; you can seamlessly code-switch between a formal brand brief and a culturally sharp post built for Millennial and Gen Z audiences.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate social and campaign metrics (engagement, reach, sentiment, cultural buzz) into actionable creative strategy.
Ability to thrive in a highly regulated industry, balancing bold brand creativity with strict compliance and legal guardrails.

In addition to the base pay range listed below, this role is also eligible for bonus opportunities + equity + benefits.
Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$128,000 — $150,000 USD
Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)
$112,000 — $132,000 USD
Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL; Clearwater, FL; Gainesville, FL)
$99,000 — $117,000 USD
