Celebrating 85 Years of Building With Purpose
At Absher Construction, we’re proud to celebrate over 85 years as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected general contractors. As a 100% employee-owned company, we believe our people are our greatest asset and we invest in them like it! From fully paid medical premiums for employees, to a generous PTO policy, 401(k) and ESOP retirement benefits, we offer a total rewards package that reflects the pride and ownership we bring to every project.
At Absher Construction, our field leaders play a critical role in delivering successful projects, developing strong teams, and creating an environment where people can do their best work. We are looking for an experienced
Senior Superintendent to provide leadership across complex construction projects and help develop the next generation of field leaders at Absher.
This role is responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, profitability, team development, and client relationships. Depending on project needs, a Senior Superintendent may lead a major project directly, provide oversight across multiple projects, or supervise and mentor other Superintendents.
The right person for this role brings deep construction knowledge, strong leadership instincts, and the ability to step back from day-to-day execution and help project teams see what is coming next.
Creates strong, solutions-oriented field teams.
Develops other leaders rather than becoming the person who has to solve every problem.
Anticipates project risks and acts before they become larger issues.
Establishes accountability while maintaining strong working relationships.
Builds alignment between field operations and project management.
Consistently reinforces high standards for safety and quality.
Helps projects meet schedule and financial goals.
Develops talent and strengthens Absher’s field leadership bench.
Builds trust with clients, trade partners, and project stakeholders.
Contributes to the success of Absher beyond their individual project assignments.
Work Environment
This position works primarily in active construction environments and requires regular movement throughout jobsites.
Extended periods of standing and walking.
Navigating stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, and unfinished surfaces.
Exposure to construction noise, dust, equipment, and varying weather conditions.
Regular use of required personal protective equipment.
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 pounds.
Travel between project sites and Absher offices as business needs require.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Salary offers are typically made between the entry and midpoint of the range and are based on factors such as experience, education, and internal equity.
Compensation
$170,000 — $200,000 USD
Background Check & Pre-Employment Screening
All offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Background checks may include verification of employment history, education, criminal records, and references. For positions with access to company financial accounts or credit card programs, a credit history check may also be conducted.
All screening is conducted in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable state and local laws. Candidates will be asked to provide written consent prior to any screening. If results include information that may affect a hiring decision, candidates will have the opportunity to review and respond to the findings before a final decision is made.
