Inpatient Eligibility Specialist - Onsite - Mercy South

Assists patients seeking alternative financing and/or assistance; provides support to patients completing and filing financial statements, Medicaid and other federal program applications. Provides patient education of financial policies; provides ongoing support for Point-of-Service initiatives: focuses on uninsured, underinsured and credit risk patients. Document actions taken, answers patient inquiries, and researches problem accounts.

Position Details:

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: High School Degree or equivalent

Other Skills and Knowledge:

Personal Computer and Keyboarding skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience: Prior Revenue Cycle, Healthcare billing or Insurance
• Prior Epic Grand Central or Hospital Billing.
• Other Skills and Knowledge: Microsoft Excel and Word
