Job Summary
The Permitting Specialist supports environmental and regulatory permitting for DISA Uranium’s mining, mineral recovery, exploration, reclamation, and related projects.
The position prepares and coordinates permit applications, exploration notices, regulatory submittals, and supporting documentation; coordinates with regulatory agencies and technical consultants; and tracks permit requirements, commitments, and deadlines.
The Permitting Specialist will work across multiple jurisdictions with federal and state regulatory agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and its Field Offices, Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Colorado DRMS), Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (Utah DOGM), and other applicable agencies.
The position requires practical experience with environmental permitting and exploration processes and the ability to independently manage assigned permitting tasks while recognizing when additional technical or management review is needed.
Reports to the Sr. Permitting Specialist, or other designated supervisor. The ideal candidate has strong experience preparing, submitting, and tracking mining-related permits, is highly organized, and can manage complex, fast-moving projects in a dynamic environment.
Pay Range - $70,000 - $90,000
