Overview
JOB SPECIFICS
Perform outpatient care, comprehensive patient evaluations for hereditary cancer risk, including detailed personal and family history assessments.
Order, interpret, and communicate genetic testing results, laboratory studies, and other diagnostic evaluations to guide patient care and recommendations.
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and implement personalized screening, surveillance, prevention, and treatment plans.
Educate patients and families regarding hereditary cancer syndromes, genetic testing options, risk-reduction strategies, and recommended screening guidelines.
Participate in oncology and genetics clinic, multidisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and specialty programs.
Provide counseling and follow-up care for patients identified as high risk for hereditary cancers.
Coordinate referrals and care with other specialties to support comprehensive patient management.
Support quality, safety, and patient access initiatives while delivering compassionate, evidence-based oncology care.
8-hour shifts, core hours 8am – 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
Full-time, clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39-$68.10. This position is salaried.
Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement
The Cancer Institute welcomed our first patient in February 2024. We estimate that this 200,000 square foot modern building will serve 3,700 cancer patients annually.
Patients will find infusion facilities, dietary guidance, diagnostic testing, cancer support services, surgery and radiation therapy all on campus.
Our cancer experts collaborate to develop a tailored treatment plan to meet patients’ medical and emotional needs. We focus on the whole person, providing a patient-centered experience.
We are home to the OSF Breakthrough Treatment Center, where we provide people battling difficult-to-treat cancers access to the most promising medical breakthroughs, novel therapies and clinical trials from around the world.
Accreditation include American College of Surgeons - Commission on Cancer (CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a national program overseen by the American College of Surgeons.
Recognition of excellence by National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC), American College of Radiography in breast ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), mammography, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound.
