Employer job description
From AlphaHire's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans classification and compensation, organizational and operational studies, research and program evaluation, economic and workforce analysis, surveys and community research, and applied data and infrastructure research.
We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with occasional client travel. When you authorize it, AlphaGov may name you as an expert collaborator or key personnel on proposals that match your expertise. We build ready teams for live pursuits — not speculative staffing banks.
This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.
AlphaGov is seeking a Business Intelligence / Dashboard Developer to design and build a user-friendly interactive public-sector dashboard that communicates how and where a state environmental agency invests grant and loan funding in water infrastructure — using interactive narratives, graphics, and mapping for officials, stakeholders, funding recipients, and residents.
What you'll do:
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and narrative data visualizations for public-agency audiences
- Integrate grant/loan and infrastructure investment data into clear maps, charts, and story-driven views
- Collaborate with agency stakeholders on data sources, metrics, and usability
- Deliver production-ready BI artifacts with documentation and handoff materials
- Contribute BI / dashboard qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned
Requirements
- Required: Hands-on business intelligence / dashboard development (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable)
- Experience building interactive maps or geospatial data views for non-technical audiences
- Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator with travel as needed for client on-sites
- Nice to have: Public-sector environmental, infrastructure, or grants-data visualization experience
- Open-data or civic-tech storytelling experience
- Prior New England or state environmental-agency work
