Mercer Medicine is searching for a Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant for the Macon, Georgia clinic.
This position is expected to demonstrate the ability to multi-task by working with multiple patients and handling multiple phone calls including appointment-related calls such as call backs and scheduling appointments for follow-up visits. This position is expected to handle front and back office processes that include placing patients in rooms, taking vitals, prescription refills, referrals, payer authorizations.
This position is also responsible for EMR documentation, patient work up to include vitals, updating patient information and patient education. Under supervision and collaboration with the overseeing physicians, this position will perform annual wellness visits, to include ordering appropriate lab screening test and immunizations based upon the physician’s protocols. This position is expected to perform all other assigned task within the scope of their certification, as applicable.
