LAYIQ - Safety Manager at Herzog

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of qualifying power-generation construction EHSS experience and/or power-plant construction, oil and gas, or chemical EHSS experience, consistent with the AES EHSS Manager requirement reflected in the current position description.
Demonstrated construction safety-management experience with the ability to independently lead a large, multi-employer project safety program.
Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and applicable federal, state, local, owner, contractual, and project-specific safety requirements.
Demonstrated experience with JHAs/JSAs, risk assessments, field inspections, incident investigations, training, corrective actions, emergency preparedness, and subcontractor oversight.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, mentoring, conflict-resolution, and decision-making skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple levels of the project organization.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a safety-related discipline; recognized professional safety credential; OSHA 30-Hour Construction and advanced OSHA 510 training; First Aid/CPR/AED certification; and utility-scale solar, renewable-energy, electrical, heavy-civil, or power-generation construction experience
Pre-Employment Requirements: Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and endorsements as required per position.
Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
