The Genesis Future Leaders MDS Coordinator in Training (MDS-IT) Program is a hands-on learning experience designed to help you build a career in resident assessment, care planning, and reimbursement. With guidance from an experienced Preceptor and opportunities to learn alongside the interdisciplinary team, you’ll develop the knowledge and confidence to lead the MDS process.

Throughout the program, you’ll gain practical experience with MDS 3.0, assessment scheduling, PDPM, skilled documentation, quality measures, and regulatory requirements. You’ll learn how accurate assessments and strong clinical documentation support resident care and the success of the center.
