Administrative Services Administrator 1 - Office of Child Health Equity Program Manager
Responsible for working with the Directors and other leaders of the Office of Child Health Equity (OCHE) to oversee strategic operations and engage in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of the Office’s vision and strategic initiatives The PM’s primary responsibilities and duties fall into the following categories: 1) administrative leadership, 2) program oversight and coordination, 3) management of budgets, 4) research management, 5) communication, and 6) broad oversight of research and programmatic staff.
Oversee the strategic planning for the Office in collaboration with OCHE directors and strategic partners across the hospital and community. Direct the planning, development, and implementation of key equity programs, including the OCHE’s Health Equity Hubs, a multi-year capacity-building initiative across the Department of Pediatrics to unite health equity endeavors among faculty and staff.
Direct and/or provide programmatic support to the Office’s areas of focus, supporting the core OCHE leaders in the foundational areas (community, policy, and policy-relevant research); and attend meetings on a regular basis to discuss strategic management of programs/initiatives.
Provide strategic assessments of program functions, policies, and procedures. Identify opportunities to improve processes (e.g., funding procurerment, budget management, research and evaluation, communication, staffing).
Review trends in office outcomes and outputs and evaluate office initiatives. Develop and oversee systems for tracking outputs, outcomes, and dissemination products. Provide reports with data or identify programmatic gaps and make recommendations to office leadership.
Collaborate with the office leadership and Health Equity Hub Leads (support topic-based initiatives such as food insecurity, education access, transplant equity, health care access) to outwardly interface with external community partners and engage in community responsive endeavors.
Provide broad support to key OCHE research projects both at the office and Health Equity Hub levels; coordinate communication and dissemination efforts across primary investigators and research assistants; oversee and direct the tracking of multi-level outputs, research outcomes, and dissemination outcomes.
Work closely with office leadership and the Division Finance Administrator on budgets; monitor program spending; liaise with other Divisions and the Department to communicate budget updates and labor distributions; oversee material procurement; monitor travel and supply reimbursements; and oversee development of annual reports to funders.
Oversee the OCHE’s outreach and communication strategies to both internal Stanford and external community partners. For example, oversee and direct communication activities (e.g., website, newsletters, social media).
Provide oversight of research and programmatic staff and interns (e.g., graduate, medical, and undergraduate students) who support the Office’s initiatives, evaluations, research endeavors, advocacy activities, etc.
The expected pay range for this position is $119,517 to $127,925 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of the salary the university reasonably expects to pay for a position upon hire. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for
comparable jobs. At Stanford University, base pay represents only one aspect of the comprehensive rewards package.
