Have significant responsibilities for administrative or operational services, functions or programs. Typical duties include developing and administering programs, policies and procedures, performing analyses or acting as a subject matter expert for the function or program. Positions typically include a variety of functions; professionals specializing in a specific field (e.g. facilities, finance) should be classified in the applicable job series.
Positions that administer the content of research programs and/or develop curriculum refer to APP series. While these positions often supervise staff, they are primarily individual contributors.
The Master of Science in Clinical Informatics Management (MCiM) is a degree program combining medicine, business and technology, and prepares leaders to oversee and implement novel uses of technology within healthcare. Currently the MCiM program offers admittance to 25 students each year. The Director of Marketing and Admissions works under direction from the program’s Faculty Director.
This role requires a high degree of independent initiative and leadership, providing strategic and operational oversight to further evolve and scale the program by translating the Faculty Director’s vision into measurable enrollment and program outcomes.
The incumbent will own the end-to-end marketing and recruitment strategy, convert data into actionable insights that identify gaps, inform recommendations, and drive continuous improvement; and elevate program visibility through on-campus engagement, strategic partnerships with Stanford Health Care leadership, and targeted external employer outreach to strengthen recruitment and placement pipelines.
Success requires operational excellence, strong situational awareness and judgment, and the ability to anticipate and address program challenges that impact enrollment and candidate quality, and overall program outcomes.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience managing complex programs, operations, or administrative services in higher education, healthcare, or a similarly matrixed or entrepreneurial environment; demonstrated expertise in marketing and recruitment strategy, including multichannel campaigns, social media, digital communications, marketing analytics, vendor management, and editorial oversight; and experience leading graduate admissions operations, candidate communications, committee support, yield strategies, and
process improvement. The candidate will bring a data-driven approach to program growth, with the ability to analyze recruitment-funnel metrics, outcomes, and trends; develop reports or dashboards; and translate insights into strategy and execution. Strong communication, collaboration, business development, leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills are required, along with the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, applicants, alumni, and diverse audiences.
A demonstrated commitment to developing innovative, high-quality educational programs and improving healthcare through the preparation of future leaders is highly valued.
This is a hybrid opportunity.
