Essential Job Duties:
Teaching (100%):
Preparing lectures.
Creating assignments.
Holding office hours.
Grading course materials.
Conditions of Employment:
Pre-employment criminal background check (required for new hires).
Supervision:
This position reports to the department chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
- M.A. in a related field OR a combination of B.A. in a related field and one or more years of post-graduate professional experience in language pedagogy.
- Experience teaching a specific subject area and demonstrated teaching excellence.
- Advanced proficiency in the target language and proficiency in English.
- Experience teaching the language or literature.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D.
- Willingness to work together with LLC faculty as a team on curriculum building, assessment, student outreach and recruitment.
- Experience/expertise in curriculum development.
- Experience/expertise in assessment.
