How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Follow up on assigned tasks through completion and provide timely updates to management; communicate unfinished work to incoming shift technicians to ensure continuity of operations
- Start, regulate, and shut down high- and low-pressure boilers; monitor computerized controls, gauges, and meters to ensure safe operation within established limits
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, including lubricating moving parts and replacing or repairing valves, bearings, gaskets, and filters
- Test boiler water and apply chemical treatments to prevent corrosion and scale buildup
- Log operational data, maintenance activities, and test results; report major malfunctions to the master technician
- Inspect safety equipment, respond to emergencies or pressure fluctuations, and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
