LAYIQ - Senior Clinical Project Manager at MD Anderson Cancer Center

Strategic Alignment
Motivate and guide project teams toward common goals.
Demonstrate strong facilitation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Coach and mentor TDI Project Managers and contract PM resources.
Engage stakeholders to manage expectations and demonstrate project value.
Collaborate with sponsors and key team members to ensure requirements are captured accurately.
Domain Expertise
Apply best practices and methodologies for portfolio, resource, and project management.
Develop and maintain project documentation including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and status reports.
Ensure timely updates in PMO platforms and customer approvals for system readiness.
Oversee resource allocation and financial management to keep projects within budget.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Coordinate technical requirements, training plans, and transition to operations.
Organizational Efficiency
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and escalate issues promptly.
Provide regular updates and ensure projects stay on schedule, within scope and budget.
Assess challenges, propose solutions, and drive process improvements.
Build strong relationships with internal and external customers and vendors.
Adapt to changing environments and stakeholder needs.
Other Duties
Perform additional tasks as assigned to support departmental goals.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's Degree Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Healthcare Administration or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required: 6 years Experience to include five years in project management and five years in application and/or infrastructure services. or
Required: 4 years Experience is required to include three years in project management and three years in application and/or infrastructure services with preferred degree.
May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
Preferred: Clinical project management experience, 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional, large-scale and high-complex programs and/or projects that were implemented enterprise-wide, 5+ years of experience with implementing technology, data and/or innovation solutions, and 5+ years of experience creating and delivering presentations for Executive Leadership.
Preferred skills: Epic EHR System, Ancillary Systems or similar.
Work Schedule: Hybrid schedule (onsite and remote), prefer a candidate in the local Houston area. Will need to travel to other facilities in the Houston area.
